A meeting of the BC’s ENEMLOS team with the President of the Basic Court in Podgorica
As a part of the activities for the implementation of the „Enemlos“, project, the President of the Basic Court in Podgorica, Ms. Željka Jovović, received members of the BC’s ENEMLOS team, the project manager Dr. Nina Radulović and the project secretary Ms. Ivana Anicic, within the premises of the Basic Court in Podgorica. On that occasion, the project manager pointed out the importance of the project for the development of legal education, and the necessity for the participation of the Basic Court, as a court instance in whose jurisdiction is the widest range of legal matters covered by the institute of “free legal aid” focused by the project. In this context, the project manager explained that lawyers in the project will act as mentors to students in delivering legal opinions and advice to “vulnerable“ social categories who will be able to use the services of a legal clinic; but also as fully responsible persons for the quality of representation before the competent court in cases processed with the involvement of the ENEMLOS project.
President Jovović welcomed the initiative of the Bar Association, the Faculty of Law and other partners in the project with efforts to improve the quality of legal education and staff. She also expressed readiness for cooperation, hoping that higher judicial instances will support its realization.
